There are three types of misdemeanors, which include Class A (charges may result in a fine up to $2,500 and a potential jail sentence of up to one (1) year); Class B (maximum fine of up to $1,500 and a potential jail sentence of up to six (6) months); and Class C (charges may result in a possible sentence of up to thirty (30) days in jail and the imposition of a maximum fine of $1,500.)
